Our story

Aaron was a math major in Ammon’s computer science classes at Southern Virginia University. He went on to score a 174 on the LSAT and is now at BYU on a full scholarship.

When Aaron tutored the LSAT, he covered up the answer choices. His students had to work out what a correct answer needed to do before they could see the options, instead of just picking whichever one looked right.

Aaron and Ammon, who previously co-founded and sold the startup Jurybox, built that method into Forge180. Its AI tutor won’t show you the answer choices until you’ve done the thinking.

Drawing on his PhD and years in software, Ammon rounded it out with adaptive drills and analytics, so you always know what to practice next.

Ammon Hepworth, PhD

Cofounder

Ammon has spent more than fifteen years building software products and the teams that make them. Before Forge180, he co-founded Jurybox, ran it as CEO, led its web and mobile development, grew it into software used by hundreds of trial attorneys across the US, and sold the company.

He has also led engineering teams at Movemedical, Pratt & Whitney, and Walmart Global Tech. He now teaches computer science at Southern Virginia University and holds a PhD from BYU and a master’s in computer science from the University of Arkansas.

Aaron graduated from Southern Virginia University with a major in mathematics and a minor in computer science. He scored a 174 on the LSAT, around the 99th percentile, and is now at BYU on a full scholarship.

As an LSAT tutor, Aaron had his students predict the answer before they saw the choices. Forge180’s AI tutor is built on that tried-and-true method.
